SECURITY OFFICER

Hempstead Valley is a vibrant Shopping Centre which prides itself on its reputation for being a safe and secure location.

An opportunity has arisen for the position of Security Officer.  Ideally, candidates will hold an SIA security licence - door supervisor (essential) and CCTV (preferable), have good communication skills, be flexible, observant and understand the need for good customer service. 

The position involves working a rolling shift pattern.

Job Title: 121 Service Coordinator

Hours: 21 hours per week, to include occasional weekends and evenings.  Flexible working hours.

Job Purpose: To facilitate the support of young carers / young people  aged between 6 and 18 years through volunteer befrienders and or activities in Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley.

Reporting to: Partnership Manager

Job Purpose: To facilitate the support of young people/young carers aged between 6 years and 18 years by the provision of volunteer befrienders and/or activities in Sevenoaks, Edenbridge, Swanley, Tonbridge and Malling and Tunbridge Wells.
 
Salary         £17,000  -  £21,000 p.a. (pro rata if 28 hours per week)

Hours         4 or 5 days per week (28 or 35 hrs) (hours to be confirmed)

This position is for a one year fixed contract initially.

 

Job Title: Maidstone Befriending Coordinator

Located at: Maidstone

Hours: 21 hours per week, to include occasional weekends and evenings.  Flexible working hours (extra hours may be available). 

Salary range: £17,000 - £21,000 pro rata dependent upon previous experience

Job Summary: To run a volunteer befriending/buddy service for young people (aged 10 – 18 yrs) who are identified as having ASD or similar social/communication difficulties enabling them to access main stream activities such as sport, culture or leisure.  To work closely with local providers to improve access to services.

 

Care Support Worker Team 

Weekend Fun Club

Is a project run for young disabled people aged 14-18 in the East Kent area. The project is a ‘buddy scheme’ where young able volunteers buddy with each participant. The service provides short breaks in the form of day trips and residential breaks (6 of each a year) which will be held in different settings and will help the participants access a variety of different activities with safe, unobtrusive support from staff members. The aim of the project is for the participants to gain confidence, skills and friends away from their normal support network of parents and carers.

Posts: For a team of support workers (1-2) to provide the care stated in the participants care-plan for each of the Weekend Fun Club Trips. There will be a team leader to liaise with the Vawk Lead Staff Member who rotas the support staff for each trip.

Hours: 6-25 hours on day trips or residential stays one weekend or weekend day per month (with sleep-in pay for over-night stays).


Sessional Workers

Salary:  Up to £9.50 per hour depending on experience 

Hours:  Varied but usually 9.30 – 4.30 on weekends and some overnight work is available

Key Role

• To work under the direction of Voluntary Action Within Kent members of staff to provide safe, high quality play for children.
• To provide good informal learning opportunities and support for the young volunteers at the clubs
